Well, for once I don't care how the food turned out but that was a lovely posting. I'm not a big fan of scrapple, but memories like that are priceless. I grew up in a house where we lived with my Grandfather. The typical "Country Doctor" ( and County Coroner, Bank Director, town offices, etc.etc.) He'd often treat ppl for "free". But every year, fresh Strawberries would show up at our door along with many other goodies, And one man, long after my GF passed away, would be there 2-3 times a year with a quart or so of fresh oysters, all shucked and cleaned.
