Char Grill #1 (Burgers) at their orginal downtown location.  618 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. 
 
Roast Grill.  "Well done" Hot dogs with chili.   7  S. West St., Raleigh   Just a few blocks from Char-Grill.   Very limited days and hours. 
 

Chapel Hill, NC:

Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen.  1305 East Franlin St., Chapel Hill, NC.  Chicken Biscuit is their specialty.   Our all time favorite breakast place, and probably in our top 5 (certainly in our top 10) roadfoods all time of any kind. Drive-through and eat in car.  Small walk-up order counter inside ..... go through side door next to drive up window.  No seating.  Closes daily at 2 or 2:30 pm. 
 

 
Mama Dips Country Cooking Restaurant . 408 West Rosemary St., Chapel Hill (downtown).   Fried Chicken is what to get.
