I think the problem is costs rising faster than income. Seems to be a theme, no matter the industry.
Hummmm... forget the $25 sandwiches, let's order a simple lunch from their menu:
Cheeseburger, fries, & slaw; and since it's NYC let's do a piece of cherry cheesecake for dessert and a cup of coffee. The bill, including tax and a 15% tip: SIXTY BUCKS
The only time I ever ate there was in the early 1980's and even back then
the bill for a "no appetizer, no dessert" simple lunch for four was > $100!
