Agree, your best bet for a meal right after the Aquarium - park in the American Cancer Society deck on Baker Street for $5, much cheaper than the Aquarium's lots - is Googie Burger, which is about six minutes' walk from the Aquarium. I'd do Silver Skillet for breakfast, see the dolphins, get some lunch at Googie and get outta town. Or stop by the children's museum and see whether I'm working and say hello!
Leaving Atlanta, 75/16/95 or 75/10 are almost equal in time to Jacksonville. As always, my blog's map should help you find all kinds of good eating along the way. I-16 is the more brain-deadening dull bore of the two, but you get Jomax BBQ along the way, plus other probably better food options in Darien/Brunswick than in Valdosta/Lake City. Then again, I haven't really covered Valdosta well. There's a blogger down there called Moody Foodie GA who has covered the region pretty well and may have some suggestions. http://www.communitywalk....ie_lets_eat/map/939046 http://moodyfoodiega.wordpress.com/
