It's about time...too. Late in the year vs. the normal run.

Ribin' it up...

I could handle it if they put some decent BBQ sauce on the thing.
It's so sweet and goopy it makes my teeth hurt.

That's what they use the back end of the pig for, sanitize it, flavour it and slap it on a bun. Yum.

Never saw any point in the McRib, wasn't it started as a promotion with Michael Jordan?

If I wear my "McRib is Back!" sweatshirt when the McRib is not actually back...people are disappointed.

You don't have to eat the McRib to like it. It's like the Shamrock Shake. People who dislike that...need help. A big McHug.

At every Amish farmer's market I visit, they have pig tails at the butcher stand.  Now I know a good use for them!!

Last year I decided I had to finally try the McRib. SURPRISE! I liked it. I did have them leave the pickles off.

You could order it without sauce, then apply your own, same with pickles, and you will wait a minute, but get a fresher product.

I thought that more than a decade or so ago when I had my first and last McRib.

Today, I thought "What the Hell" and tried it again thinking that they may have improved it.

McDonald's is nothing if not consistent.  So, I'm good for another decade or so!

I never tried one and probably never will.  I haven't eaten at a McDonald's since I was 5 years old.  But I am a big fan of their blueberry pomegranite smoothies.

In a pinch.about once every 18 mos or so.......I'll go have a McRib or Big Mac..........but I gotta take the pickles off of both.  Actually had a Whopper in the Netherlands when my wife was feeling famished.  Took 3 bites and the whole side of my face swelled up for a day.  That was the first foray back into BK in over 20 years......never again

McLobsta is still available in select locations from June-September.

McLobsta is no McRib in terms of fan club...but McLobsta is quite popular.

If you had one.  I do have Famous Daves, and have learned to be thankful for small mercies.  We had a fantastic place, Train Station Barbecue, but the town did not support it.  It was really good.  But they did not seem to understand location, location, location.

Here in the Cincy area we can get them all the time at the local grocery stores and big box stores.

JTM - makes them and are available year round here.  Grill your own and add your own sauce.

I had to grab a quick bite for dinner tonight before a meeting.  Went to the Ocean City McD and grabbed a McRib.  It was pretty good.  I even ate the pickles.  It is a messy sandwich though.  Lots of napkins needed.
Maybe I'll have another next year.
