Just a short 15 minutes away, this place is a true classic. Considering it's been around for over 50 years speaks for itself

   Thanks Wanderingjew. It appears there's not much in Charleston as far as a culinary moment. We'll hit Diehls if possible. And I thank you for your input.

Look up Blossom and Bluegrass Kitchen.  We visited both in 2009 and wrote them up for our blog; I understand that Blossom has changed a good deal, but we enjoyed both experiences a lot.  There was also a magnificent indie bookstore, Taylor I believe, right around the corner from Blossom.  Check out the blog Fork You for more ideas:
