A big second from me for Jim's suggestions

I doubt you have very many Vietnamese restaurants in Ostrander, Ohio. But here in the DFW metroplex, we are blessed that so many Vietnamese settled in our area and opened restaurants for us to enjoy their highly addictive somewhat French influenced food.
 
If you would like to be adventurous and try something new and very delicious, then I would give Ba Lee in Arlington a try. Be sure to enjoy a bowl of Pho (pronounced, "fah"). Have some spring rolls, and of course, a Banh Mi sandwich on a "French" roll.
Be sure to look through the pictures on the link I provided.
 
You'll consider Chinese food "boring" after your first Vietnamese meal.

Welcome to ROADFOOD!!!

If you have not already done so, check out the "official" Roadfood places close by under the Restaurants tab above.  You may be close to Chef Point Cafe and a couple of Fort Worth places.

Chef Pointe Cafe ( http://www.chefpointcafe.org/ ) is "Roadfood" in the sense that it:
 
a)  was featured on DDD
b)  Is located in a gas station.
 
(Chef Pointe couldn't get a loan to open a restaurant, but he did get a loan to buy a gas station.  He then installed a kitchen and some seating in the station's convenience store, and voila!  He expanded the place last year and it is now a restaurant that also sells gasolene).
 
It is one of our favorite places in DFW (we make the 45 mile drive a couple times a year), but is more in the 'fine dining' category.  It's about 20 miles from Arlington and worth the trip if something on his menu is of particular interest to you.

Glad to be of help.  Among Babe's many accolades was Southern Living's listing it as "the best fried chicken in the South", and being featured on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate". 
 
That said, don't overexpect.  But it is good, really good.  Let's just say that you will not be disappointed.

Why would five people go to a family style restaurant and get five orders of the same thing?  At least try their smoked chicken.

It was our first time and we all love great fried chicken! I was considering ordering the smoked chicken. Got there and could not do it! Had to have the fried.
We did stop at Pete's Place in Krebs, OK for lunch on the way home and we got four different meals. But, I have been to Pete's dozens of times. http://www.petes.org
 

Yes, Babe's other offerings are also rocket good. 
 
Mrs. Metro loves their pot roast and smoked chicken.  The best (and most reasonably-priced and generously portioned) pork ribs I've had so far in TX are available at their Garland location.
 
One "touch" I love is the on-table provision of honey and sorghrum molassas.  Another is the "atmosphere".  One of my students works at Babe's in Frisco and said that the "Loves it ... works hard ... makes "Hooters $$$" without humiliating or debasing herself." 
 
Bottom line: this business "says Texas" as well as anything I have encountered in our 8 years here.

When we went to the the state high school football championships a few weeks ago you recommended Babe's. It was really good. My family really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation MJ.

I forgot to mention how good the Sorghum was with the biscuits. Reminded me of eating biscuits with my grandmother. Thanks Metroplexjim
