The Bread Wagon. Thomasville,Ga

I have been passing The Bread Wagon several times a year for over 10 years and never stopped unti today. My loss as I found out. This is more of a country specialty grocery operated by the Mennonite community. Their specialty seems to be cakes, pies, and breads. Its not really a doughnut, bearclaw type of bakery. As I approached the door I noticed a small handmade sign that read"fresh strawberry pies are ready". I couldnt resist a personal size pie and a cinnamon roll. Dense chewey and laced with cinnamon, also covered with a creamy iceing. It wont be my last visit.

About a mile down the road I couldnt resist.

So this week it was a whole strawberry pie to take home and the small peanut butter pie for myself. Rich, creamy, full of peanut taste. Did I say rich?

Great find! Those cakes look amazing! I'd have trouble trying to decide just which one to try.

Alas, my area of Georgia.  That place is about 2 miles from my office, and I must say anything one buys there is nirvana.

No way I could resisted stopping at a place called The Bread Wagon the very first time.
