I can see it. Once you get that song in your head, it takes days to get rid of it!

    Rockford Files
Batman (I don't particularly like it, but it stuck)
    Green Acres--hahaha!!

EdSails - have you ever read Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs?  That will put some very bad things into your head, but it's hilarious.

Can't overlook the theme from Get Smart. How many theme songs had metal doors closing as part of the music?

Great theme song, great lead character, great car...although perhaps I'm a bit biased on that last one.  And speaking of Mike Post songs, I'm surprised (and just a little miffed) that "Hill Street Blues" apparently wasn't even in the competition.  Of course, it wasn't the only great theme not included.

One of my all-time favorites was "Simon & Simon" and I admit to a certain fondness for Lee Majors' rendition of the "Fall Guy" theme.

Screaming - Jim Garner was so perfect for that role.  The show also had characters you "loved to hate," like Angel.  What a weasel...   Do/did you have a Firebird from that time?

A little off topic..... speaking of theme songs...
I can't get over that Jim  Parsons who plays Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang Theory is the same age now that Ed Asner was when he first started playiing Lou Grant on the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Two others I fondly recall that haven't been mentioned is Al Jarreau singing the Moonlighting theme song and the understated Taxi theme song, which was perfect for that show.

That's a tough one, there are SO many great themes.

"Keep Your Eye on the Sparrow" - Sammy Davis Jr. - The theme from Baretta.
Hill Street Blues - Mike Post
Chico and the Man - Jose Feleciano
Theme from Cheers - Gary Portnoy
The Six Million Dollar Man theme ... that one still makes the hair stand up a bit
More recent one ... Miami Vice  - Jan Hammer
an odd one ... I always liked Edith and Archie at the piano singing Those Were the Days / All in the Family theme ... very nostalgic.

Here's a series with really great theme music that most people don't remember or have never heard of... Bearcats!, an adventure series from 1971 starring Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole that unfortunately was canceled after only 13 episodes.
