Salami in a burger...

So yesterday while at the grocery store I picked up some pre made burgers from the butcher shop. They're calling them "New England Steak Bomb Burgers." They're a beef patty with salami, swiss, peppers & onion mixed in. They were AMAZING! Has anyone else had a burger with salami in it? I topped it with mustard only and couldn't believe the flavor.

There's a small town cafe in Iowa (Solon) that has a burger with deli salami and Swiss on top of the burger, but not in it.

So was the salami ground into the burger, or diced up?

WarToad - It was ground up in it so the flavor was uniform throughout. I cooked up another yesterday and it was just as awesome.

Just had one a couple weeks ago, salami, onion, and cheddar in it. This one had the salami sliced thin and then diced and mixed in, so some of the edges of the salami poked out of the meat, and crisped up rather nicely. I just put a slice of tomato and a little mustard and ketchup on it, pretty darned good.
