Hello All - I am back!
Spent Wednesday Night, All Day Thursday and Thursday Night, and got out about 1:30pm Friday.
I was having a sharp stabbing pain in my left chest, with numbness to my right chest and left arm, I was also extremely short of breath.
With the combination of the two, it was decided a trip to ER was in order. I got there and they gave 3 Nitro tabs and a Nitro patch, and the chest pain subsided, but still was short of breath.
They ended up admitting me, gave me a bolus of lasix and sent me to a room, the lasix worked and over the next 18 hours I ummm "removed" almost 2 gallons of fluid. and I am still removing it about every hour
The ECG, EKG, Doppler all came back clear, no blockages, no clots, no damage, the cardiac enzyme test that came back positive also came back positive this spring, so my doc feels it is more to do with my kidney problems than heart issues.
The cardiologist feels it was not a heart issue, and so does my reg doc, he is leaning to espohogeal spasms. ( I have a history of muscle spasms, so it is not a long stretch, plus I had just eaten when the pain occured)
So the doc tweaked my meds and added some new ones too, and sent me home.
So far so good!
I would like to Thank those who called and posted, It was a scary time, and to hear CTF's (Tom's) voice in the morning was the start of a smile filled day. The calls helped me get through the whole experience. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
