Got call from a company that wants a full time vendor outside their business. Actually 4 locations. Just below the NC/VA border. Just South of Martinsville, VA. My problem is I live and work out of VA. NC has stricter rules, which I may be able to obey. Then there is all the new fees.
It sounds like more work than I can handle, but I need more work than I'm getting.
I hate to give up this oppurternaty, but if I have to I'd like to pass it on to one of my Roadfood friends.
W/O giving away too many details, the business is open many hours including 24 hrs. on the weekends.
Potentially 7 or 8 carts or more.
Maybe a NC guy can put me in their fleet and I could work some shifts.
FWIW, they mentioned they own the property(S) and won't charge any thing.
They just want food available.
I feel this has huge potential, hate to not persue it.

i would call nc and see what the regs are.you may have more than enough to work there and fees maybe reasonable.call yourself a temp or seasonal vendor and get a better rate and requirements.

NC is a lot more anal than VA. They let each county make the  rules. In VA, my Health Permit is good State Wide. And only $40 a year. That includes all inspections, etc. Sucks cuz I live on the border, cuts my radius into a semi-circle.
