I have two favorite fun ones:

“He that but looketh on a plate of ham and eggs to lust after it hath already committed breakfast with it in his heart” - C.S. Lewis

“A hot dog at the ballgame beats roast beef at the Ritz." Humphrey Bogart
    ------------------
Don't get me started on the inspirational/motivational ones--I have pages of those.

Felix, you were the first person I thought of when I read this, so I wasn't surprised to see that it actually came from you.
I have no one specific favorite quote; there are just too many good ones from which to choose.  Although I'm partial to "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

Although the quote isn't mine. It's from an interview with Paul Thorn, my favourite singer/songwriter.

When we're hungry, love will keep us alive.

---I know it isn't a quote, but it happens to live in my mind since my first year in college. We had this activity wherein you have to defend an unpopular quote or something. Then a classmate submitted this one (obviously from a song) and another classmate/friend got this from my instructor's box of crumpled papers of unpopular quotes. I was amazed by how fast my friend thought of how the love of God through His Words would keep us alive, feeding our spirits with love and teachings!
