Weekend With Japanese Invaders - Mon, 09/9/13 1:36 PM
I appreciate the Japanese; their culture, their food and the kindness they showed my son while he studied abroad.  But after spending hours pulling Japanese Stilt Grass, Japanese Honeysuckle and Mile-a-Minute Vine along the Appalachian Trail over the weekend, I’m beginning to feel a little less love.  Thank goodness we don’t live far enough south to have to deal with Kudzu!  What a pain.

I saw Kudzu in WV a few weeks back, it is slowly creeping it's way north.

I've seen small patches of it in southern Maryland, but I don't think it can overwinter yet, thank goodness.

I had a jar of Kudzu Jelly gifted to me.

Didn't grow on me.
