Anybody else see this:
The king is dead.
Four teenagers are being charged with capital murder in the fatal mugging of 87-year-old Lawrence E. 'Shine' Thornton of Greenville, Mississippi.
‘Shine’was a World War II veteran and a famous personality in the Delta region for his hot tamales. They were known as ‘Maria’s Famous Hot Tamales’, named after his wife Mary. He was crowned king of the 2012 Delta Hot Tamale Festival.
According to Greenville police, Thornton was killed after being accosted in his own driveway on Oct. 18. He was pushed down and his wallet stolen.
He passed away from his injuries two days later at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

That is both senseless and sad.
One would think that would, depending on the demographics of the victim and/or the assailant, make either Fox or MSNBC.
For the first time in nearly three decades violent crime is increasing; accouring to the FBI, 12% last year.

This is just terrible. But at least there is an arrest. My great uncle Alex years ago in Milwaukee was beaten up by some young thugs. He had gone to the store  to buy a chicken for dinner.
They approached him and wanted money. What cash he had on him he used to buy dinner with,so they beat him up and took the chicken. Someone at least had the decency to call police and he was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away.
Cops couldn't get a darn thing out of any witnesses. Probably gang bangers   and people were scared they would come after them. Metroplex Jim, won't make either one. If they were white,Fox and MsNBC definetly won't carry it.And if they were black, mustn't be accused of racial profiling.

To make it through WWII but be taken down by some teenage punks.  A sad sad day for our nation in many aspects.
RIP, Shine.
