Nope and nope! I went to Westminster College in W. PA and Michael went to the University of Texas! So it's just friendly competition......MH is a huge Buckeye fan and I could really care less......I just threw that Penn State remark in there to rile him!
I was never so surprised than when I found out that the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe had wedding soup! So I'm thinking it can't be good, after all, it is a hot dog joint. It's wonderful! When we were going to Beaver County on a regular basis I got it at least once!
So Michael went to UT. Explains a lot. How well did he know the great Bobby Layne?
What you say is so very true of Wedding Soup; greatness can appear in such unexpected places. All it takes is someone's Italian mother. NeCa is a hotbed for it; lots of Italian great-grandmothers there!
Same with Brunswick Stew; the best I ever had was in a college dining hall: The Lyda Bunker Hunt Hall at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. Were she still alive, the gracious and talented Mrs. Carr would today be a star on the Food Channel.
After what was done to the man and now the memory of Joseph Vincent Paterno I have no interest whatsoever in college football. But there is one thing I know for damn sure, they'll never take his name off the main library at PSU. He cut a personal check for it. R.I.P.
