If you are going to be in the area near the convention center, two of the places that I like nearby - when I just have to - are Vito's Chophouse
and Cafe Tu Tu Tango
, and they are right next door to one another and not far from the convention center. In my opinion, the steaks at Vito's are the best in Orlando, if you are looking for something in the way of a high-end steakhouse. Cafe Tu Tu Tango is more appropriate in a group setting, as they are mostly small plates designed for sharing. The more people you bring, the wider the variety in what you order.
While Vito's is not a "chain," it is part of a restaurant group called Talk of the Town, which is usually pretty highly regarded in the Orlando area. Again, these places can be corporate and touristy, but they're among your better choices from that group of restaurants.
