Great article.  Some of the restaurants may or may not be considered roadfood, but who cares?  Who's to say?  Notice that Portland, ME and San Diego tied at #19.

I couldn't tell you about Aspen, Telluride, Napa and Carmel by the Sea. But being that I live here, I can assure you there is plenty of fantastic Roadfood in Newport.....

I'd rather trust a list compiled by Sports Illustrated, or Guns and Ammo.

They spent way too much time in wine country. To leave LA off the list and include California cities known for only 2 or 3 restaurants? Sad.

It isn't billed as a "roadfood" list.  It's a list for "foodies."

Not necessarily the same thing.

LA has amazing "foodie" restaurants. Trois Mec by Ludo, Animal by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Jar, Bouchon, Providence, Mozza, Lucques, Church and State, Bazaar, Fishing with Dynamite, Water Grill, Nobu, Matsuhisa, Urasawa, Melisse, Hinoki and the Bird, Son of a Gun, Ink, Spago, AOC, Chaya, I could go on...

We are home to chefs like Govind Armstrong, Suzanne Goin, Michael Voltaggio, Josiah Citrin, Ray Garcia, and Wolfgang Puck.

We have no less than 6 annual food festivals including the upcoming American Wine and Food Festival.

Seriously.
