RE: Tortilla Press or Maker????????HELP
I am not a expert or anything but I used 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup vegetable shortening, 1/2 tsp salt(think u need a lil more though), 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 3/4 cup of water(think you need a lil more)
mix all dry ingredients in bowl, add water slowly while mixing. once its like dough then you kneed for like 2-3 minutes, make balls outta the dough, around 8 then let em sit for 30 minutes. then you just roll em out(make sure u got flour on rolling pin and surface). Throw em on the skillet or grill pan, has to be pretty hot i used a very good frying pan.
Let it sit for like 30 sec, you will see it start to bubble then flip it over for another 20-30 seconds
there should be little brown spots on em. And yes they are very good the next day, maybe even better
