Gas up your mopeds - get a good running start - and hop over to Italy.
I hadn't been for 20 years - and in the meantime had been to all the MUSTS - John's, Patsy's, Lombardy's - etc.
And just no comparison. I went to 3 random places - even in NORTH Italy - and the crust/dough was thin, crisp, tasty, chewy - tomato sauce excellent - and toppings (if wanted) fine and plentiful. And even in white tablecloth joints - 5 bucks!
How is it possible no one can remember what they ate and saw long enough to survive the 7 hour plane trip so they can try to duplicate?
And if I ever get faced with a Domino's or Papa John's again - I'll RUN from that junk.
