WOW! I just found my way to the Vermont Country Store at vermontcountrystore.com . Unbelievable. They specialize in finding sources for products that have been 'retired' in the US, and getting companies to produce small batches for them to retail. I've only been browsing a few minutes and already come across SkyBar, Space Food, Charles Chips, My-T-Fine puddings, Bosco, Eclipse Coffee Syrup, and more. And that's just the food...those of you with 70s nostalgia can pick up a brand new bottle of "Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific", too...

I like to order my retro candy and gum from Hometown Favorites because you don't have to order and entire box or case of anything.
You can order individual pieces and they usually ship within 24 hours of your order.

Vermont Country Store catalog is great! I usually try to find something nostalgic from there to send to my family for Christmas (they live near each other and spend Christmas Eve together). This year I'll be sending Wink soda from Hometown Favorites, which someone posted on another thread about discontinued sodas. (Ooops, hope none of them read this!)

Another place to consider would be favoritesof.com. I order BUN candy bars from them a lot, and at the same time I have been on a crusade for a little over two years to try and convince more retailers in this area to carry them. I have had some success, but not as much as I would like. I can remember when almost every place that carried candy here in the midwest had them. The goal I am seeking is for a return to the mainstream for what I feel is the best candy out there. Of course, it would be a lot easier if retail weren't so heavily corporate controlled. I actually have a petition on like to suggest ways to break this stranglehold. If anyone out there is interested, I shall supply to the link to access, read and hopefully sign it.

Hi! I know a site too.  I got my retro sweets at http://www.aquarterof.co.uk during my recent trip in UK. It surely creates nostalgic memories whenever I put those retro sweets in my mouth.  What a blast!  My trip could not have been any sweeter.

I agree that Vermont Country Store is a great site. I love to check out the retro stuff. Their prices are high and w/shipping it is even more. I know that you can get items that you won't find anywhere else though. I have found these items around local stores (especially Big Lots, Dollar General and Everythings A Dollar):

Necco Waffers
Bit O'Honey
Razzles
Beeman's Gum
Chicklets
Sugar Daddy suckers
B&M Brown Bread
Malt O'Milk mix
Jordan Almonds (my favorite)

If you have a Fresh Market they also have quite a bit of the imported items.

Beeman's Gum

It's probably been mentioned a few dozen times, but Beeman's, Black Jack and Teaberry are currently available for a limited time; they make a batch every couple of years.

World Market has Clove, Teaberry, and Beeman's gum as well, and I'm pretty sure I saw Teaberry at Dollar Tree.

I get the biggest kick looking at the Vermont Country Store catalog.  At the beginning of summer, I looked high and low for those kitschy 50's plastic pink flamingos for the yard, and lo and behold, I found them in the VCS catalog.   I have one in the backyard not so much for offending my neighbors, but from being ripped off, as a gift shop owner said happened to him.
