Case #10833

Dear consumer,

Thank you for taking the time to contact Maple Leaf.

Maple Leaf does not sell wieners in the United States. The product you are referring to is called Maple Leaf Franks and produced by another company. Company Russer's in Buffalo, NY at

(716) 826-6400, however we have been advised by this company that they no longer make this product.

Sincerely,
Joumana Collins

I guess that means no more Maple Leafs... at least not the crunchy ones......that is an email i received this AM from Maple Leaf themselves.. I was referring to the ones that were linked together....Oh the poor demise of that dog!

oh my---now THATS sad---they were really a part of my childhood--i remember my dad eating them on toasted top slit buns and simply buttered--real butter--and sprinlked with celery salt--(that was the only salt i ever saw him use--he didnt even bother with filling a salt shaker after mom died) -- he loved those dogs.

I also did a google search and found out that Russers in Buffalo was absorbed by IBP Foods, and that IBP was bought out by Tyson
The last time I saw the Maple leaf's were got for me by a caterer in Massachusetts in December 2003..Then I moved back to Florida and have never seen them down there.....
I guess that the name Maple Leaf was just something that Russers made and they made FRANKS-not hot dogs, (LOL), and Maple Leaf Products never made the above named dog/weiner/frank....
At least they took the time to write me back....
I am sad also, as those are the only dog for me after I found them.
Mustard, relish and onion for me...ANd you cant beat that "SNAP" when you bite them....
But it sounds interesting to put celery salt on them....
