NY- I think I know that, you trying to bust my chops?
Haven't heard anything from Blue Heaven since last March, if your husband is still traveling and staying in hotels in the metro area, his best bet is to go to one of the the local grocery stores and load up a cooler with any of our regional products that strike his fancy.

Born and raised in New Orleans, MyPlace is currently Phoenix, but want to move back. I guess MyPlace is more a state of mind.
We will get there for Superbowl, however. For real!

Yes. Old Buddy D would have been proud. Relatively tame for the city, but may have shocked a few prudes.  Still can't believe the Saints are in the Superbowl, but saw them on NFL Channel / Media Day today. Watched it a couple of times! Geaux Saints!

Yeah z, you need a car for Nor-Joe's - off Metairie Road. Some people swear it's better than Central and I have to say the filling is impressive(they use pancetta), but don't like the way their olive salad tastes.
Where's Myplace?
Nor-Joe's was a little too garlicky for me.

Zydeco - you reminded me of something - a friend e-mailed me a picture of the Joan d'Arc statue - during the Superbowl, someone climbed up and stuck a Saints Superbowl flag in her hand. I don't know if it's been taken down, but would make a great picture for visiting roadfooders.
