name this 60's roll candy?

In the 60's there was a roll candy that was about 10 inches long with about 20 1/2 inch pieces of chewy hard candy with a softer fruit center. The outer layer was semi-clear white with a faintly colored inside, green, red, orange. They tasted very similar to the hard candy with the soft strawberry filling that is so familiar at christmas. Each piece was circular with about 1/2 inch diameter the centers of the peices were indented, if you were to cut one in half it would look like a letter H. These were not Spree, mentos, or any of the sweet tarts. Please help me remember the name!

Thanks for trying, but they were not listed. I'm surprised, because they were fairly common on the shelves, in gas stations, through the late 70's. I lived in the Chicago area. This link below, shows the hard candy which the ingrediants seemed so similar to. The ones I'm referring to, were wrapped in a light colored roll and had a wax paper inner liner. It was similar in size to "Rolo's" or "Sweet Tarts" http://www.groovycandies.com/V2ProdDetail1.asp?Product_ID=1125

Oh man... Now the pics ring a bell. I know what your talking about, but for the life of me I dont remember the name.. Grandparents used to have these all the time in the candy dish. I'll have to ask an elder such as my mom if she remembers... And ya, those where tasty!

img]http://www.roadfood.com/insider/photos/716.jpg[/img Maybe this will help. It's my version of what the individual pieces looked like. They were not individually wrapped, but in a roll.

I think I remember them, but not the name. The ones I remember had pretty deep circular indentations, like reverse saucers. I remember them being very "fruity" in flavor and that they could get stale and discolored. I didn't like them too much, but then again I don't like fruity.

You're right they were very indented. The outside was a slightly soft hard candy, whitish, semi clear, in color with maybe a pine apple flavor. They were not a pressed powder like sweet tarts or smarties. I don't remember any discoloration or problem with staleness, though. I'm glad to hear that someone else remembers them. I'm beginning to wonder if they might have been local to the Chicago area.

Well now I am really intrigued by the name. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY so its not just a Chicago thing.

I personally don't remember these, but just for kicks I just went to Yummies.com and poked around to see if anything fit your description. There was a roll-type candy called "Charms" - there was a picture of the package, but no description, so I could be way off. Also, in the "Candy Graveyard" they had listed "Delpha Rolls." No idea what that is, because again, no description. But I thought it was worth a shot.

DANGIT.......... I know the candy! It was a European import. So it cost a lot more than a roll of LifeSavers....... "DRANG"???????? DRANG!!!!!!!!!!! They came in fruit flavors and chocolate too. Probably came in mint and licorice but as a kid I would not have been interedted in those flavors. In Cleveland one could find rolls of DRANG at Webber's Confectionary on Euclid Avenue and in the downtown department store candy counters.
