Very good question. What constitutes a good cart. I can tell you from personal experience what constitutes a bad one. But it depends on what you primarily want to do with the cart. I wish mine had two steam tables. I bought one of of Ebay 4 yrs. ago. The guy seemed real nice. I bought the , "introductory model", from a place outside of Nashville Tn. I bought it for 1350.00. But I had to add on the umbrella 150.00, The LP tank at 35.00, the regulator 22.00, and a crap load of other things that have ran me a small fortune. When I complained about the lack of service from the cart manufacturer, as well as a sub standard, made in China cart. The Manufacturer called me a sucker and began laughing at me. He has since then changed his Ebay I.D. for the twentieth time and ripped off numerous others. What goes around comes around one would hope. But buy your cart with everything you will want, ready to go. Make sure to check with your County Health Dept. on they're regulations. Every County has it's own regulations regarding comissaries. Mine simply has to have a three bay sink, and adequate cooling, as well as adequate facilities to clean the cart. I use a small gas/food service in our area. It met with the Departmental standards. Besides that the guy who owns it does not charge me for it, so I am blessed. I have heard that Louie at WWW. Allamerican hot dog carts is good., but I will never buy another cart without seeing it again.

Someone mentioned 2 steam tables and they are right..I only have 1 on mine and if I was to buy another cart it would have 3. I use a electric one now for the second one. The one other thing I would say is if you are planning on selling downtown get a cart but if not go with a concession trailer, you wont be sorry.

CSD, Thanks for saving my butt with Quality Street Carts! I would have bought their headaches had I not spoke with you. theremrt1, I bought my cart from www.cmssystem.com. They came in on the weekend (a closed day), to show me around their shop and sell me a cart of course. My cart has two steam tables. The hot water tank has its own heating eye on the tank and not the metal water line like the other carts I looked at. NO problems at all After one year of use and my health dept passed it with flying colors.
