Am driving from Newark, DE to Dublin Ohio and back. Any suggestions for the road and the destination?

You should be going on I-70 through Wheeling, which means a stop at Coleman's Fish Market.  Excellent fish sandwiches!  Just across the state line into Ohio is Mehlman's Cafeteria.  If you are in a hurry, you can typically get in and out of here in 20 minutes easily, due to how close it is in to the interstate and the nature of cafeteria dining.  In Zanesville, I like Tom's Ice Cream Bowl for a quick dessert.  It is also located less than a mile from I-70.
