anyone sell dogs in the park? I am debating on giving it a shot but was hoping for some insight first. I would be practically the only vendor and I think I can make a good amount of dough. one park gets 350-800 people per day low number on weekdays and high on the weekends. then there is the community swimming pool and there are 4 sessions per day with at least 80 people each and that is not counting the normal park goers. so I am thinking it would be a good thing to do but the fee is $30 per day. if I got 60 customers that bought meals or average ticket of $5 then I could do ok. do you think it is doable? thanks guys Fat Tony

Hey Tony Think of it this way... If you get 1/3 of the population on an average $5 ticket, you low day will earn you abouit $580... your high day looks like $1300. I'd say that the $30/day fee is doable!! I was thinking the same thing in my city... if I should ever go full-time with this (that is, if I can ever get STARTED to begin with!!! I'm still awaiting on my last license!!!). We have a little park with a zoo where there's a perfect spot for a dog cart... specifically, MINE!!! Thoughts for the future.... Good luck!

Yes, do it. I pay 25 bucks for at one park with two baseball fields and some soccer fields. On good days I will top a K.

Eddy you rock! I work on a city park. Kind of the opposite deal, it's downtown and busy during the week and not so much on weekends. I pay a monthly permit that is way less than $30 a day. That is when you figure that I sell there 20 days a month instead of 8. Can be some interesting regulations and bureaucracy to deal with. But it sounds definetly worth investigating. Good luck, Jim

well here we go I am going to persue the parks. I have my final inspection for the cart today @ 4 pm and then I will be totally legal. wooo hooo it has been a rough road. trying to balance being a GM at a restuarant and a dad with starting this for the MRS. It is time consuming. although it seems it will now pay off. I will post picks of the cart and then make a thread for my first week. see ya later!
