picture with a name

Who's up for posting a pic of yourself so all can put a pic with the name?? soon as i find one that makes me look a little thinner i'll post one.....................ah ta heck with that i'll get one. that wouldnt be natural any way's Buck

I don't "do" pictures. I'm one of those folks that you occasionally see in the background of live TV shots... the ones that "duck & cover" when they see a camera... My mom says the way we all duck cameras you would think our family is in witness protection.
 
I'm almost 50 yo... I'm average height, average weight, brown hair, brown eyes... I'm so average looking that people always think they know me!

I ran into an old friend the other day, they said God you look just like your father, I told them my father has been dead for 20 years, they said Yah I know. ..................Buck if your waiting for a good day to take a picture, you missed your window of opportunity by 25 years.........BillyB

At my age (76) I am not (and never have been) in the group of young people who like to "advertise" themselves.  When quite young, I was taught by my parents that "Fools names and fools faces are always seen in public places."  Even though now I know this doesn't necessarily apply, over the years I have gotten in the habit of reserving details of my life for only the very closest of my friends.  It is for this very same reason that I am not a member of Facebook, which I have heard has had its own set of "horror" stories. 
 
With over 68,000 registered users of Roadfood.com (roughly half of the entire population of Peoria), I don't think I would feel comfortable to have my picture posted in connection with my name.  I have been in a couple of group pictures posted on here taken at get-togethers, but I feel there is always some "safety in numbers" in that situation.   I also do appreciate the fact that Roadfood allows members to communicate privately with each other using PMs without revealing their e-mail addresses, unless they want to do so with a particular person, since my e-mail address is my true name.

well......................it at least seems we (or at least the ones that replied so far) are about the same age, i'm 59, I too hate to have my picture taken as i am a portly young man!<3 butI will start this off when I find one that dont look like a bafoon ! facebook :buck&vi's lunch box. by the way which is pronounced vi as the i is long like in the flower "violet" i dont know how many people pronounce it vee's.

I got a good laugh out of that one ..  if I was photogenic I guess I wouldn't mind pictures so much, and it seems the only good ones I take are the ones that I don't know it was happening.   I take pictures so bad my brother-in-law said he was going to use them as blackmail.      And one Christmas my nieces husband setup the backdrop/lights and all to get family portraits so he took pics of me and my dog - everybody cracked up because she was as photogenic as me.

this is not about being photogenic, or average, or anything just get a picture of you doing what you do. in your booth, trailer, cart,resturant, what ever, uh hem! ice cream parlor, office, c'mon guy's you know who you are.

Here is a picture of me, Im always suprised how tired I look , but then I remembered I get up at 6am and usually dont get to bed while 1.30 - 2am

However, hiding your identity on a group is like wearing a mask in public.
 
I actually joined Facebook because one of my regular employers has an officially recognized employees group, and consultants are welcome to join. For one of my clients, I maintain another identity on Facebook (essentially a fictional character representing a not-for-profit organization), and I make sure not to "Friend" that identity, so that I can periodically check my Facebook page and figure out if there's anything on it I wouldn't want my potential employer to see.
