propane pop corn poppers

has anybody had experience with these? I saw this in my last Gold Medal Catalog and it looked interesting (although pricey). I'm just wondering if it has the same power and performance. I'm thinking of purchasing it for the events that I can't rely on electricity. Any thoughts????

We use propane cookers for our kettle corn. They pop much faster and get hotter than the electric.

The lp poppers Ive looked up online show a picture of a little silver unit with a spout. Do you have to additionally buy a cabinet to put it in? I cant get my head wrapped around how they work. The specs say 20 16oz batches an hour, is that 16oz of finished product or kernels? How many bags does that translate into? At 50 cents a bag one would have to sell ALOT of popcorn to pay for it. I could really use one, just need a little more education about them. dw
