Does anybody know for a fact if there is ANY nutrition -- any benefit, aside from keeping your fingers clean while eating -- to Wonder Bread ???

The new Wonder Whole Grain White has 5 grams of fiber and as much calcium as a glass of milk in two slices. It also has minerals and vitamins added. I thought it made a really good grilled cheese and a good slice of toast.

NYNM, that GCCB sounds great! Could you give us more info on how it's made?

I take cut french bread and spoon on some juice from a roast, or brisket, and then toast it. Anyone else do weird things like this to bread?
Joe

GCB is delicious, but to split hairs, I don't know if its a real "roadfood/commonfolk bread" or an invention of some bakeries, since I have never seen it is restaurants or seen a recipe for it. I have seen it in a few bakeries in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Tesuque. It is a sort of loaf bread (lihe rectangualr in slices) but has cheese (don't know the kind) and green chilies swirled though it and a crusty crust with cheese.

Sounds great NYNM! Not the real thing but I was thinking I might try just putting some green chiles, and maybe jack cheese, on some french bread. Hey, it might be good???

Rainey day here so it was a good day to try a new to me bread recipe.
Pain De Provence, I hope it's as good as it smells.
Basicly it's a French/Italian type bread with added herbes de provance and Grand Marnier. I must say it looks perfect, got a nice oven spring to the loaf. It should pair well with my stuffed rock cornish hens for dinner tonight. Chow Jim
