regional soda

I am trying to remember the name, and see if it is still produced, of a lemon/limey/citrusy soda that I used to buy in Trenton NJ in the early 80's. As I recall, it only came in 64 oz bottles. They were green in color. Any clue? Thanks for any and all...

Not much to go on. Most local soda brands had disappeared by then in NJ but Allentown, PA's A-Treat http://www.a-treat.com/Qstore.cgi can occasionally be found on this side of the Delaware. They make a "Seven-Up" knock-off, "Treat-Up" and one of the nicer Grapefruit sodas, as well. Both come in green plastic, but not in 2 liters (currently, a least).

Canada Dry used to make a grapefruit soda called Wink. There is a local soda company in Worcester MA called Polar that makes a grapefruit soda (reg & diet) called half & half. Polar also makes an orange soda the is not sweet called 'orange dry' that I like; pretty unusual.

Yup, loved Wink as a kid but I haven't seen the label in NJ in decades. I'm familiar with Polar (and their subsidiary, Adirondack) and buy their stuff when I'm upstate NY or in New England, but, again, not available in NJ. (Altho', Wegman's just started carrying the Polar made Cranberry Soda after dropping their store brand a few years ago and I've also bought the Polar"Half and Half" there.)

Was it that Sun-Drop citrus soda? I've never seen that in things other than those 64 oz. bottles.

Probably Kern's. But not to be confused with the Kern's in California, which does not make soda.
