I just checked online and you can buy uncooked spin at amazon.jp . I guess you just deep fry them yourself .

You can get a snack called spin here in Japan . I think pizza flavor is available . It`s no as popular as it used to be they used to sell spin served warm in a paper cone at amusement parks. I remember butter flavor .

Unbelievable!!! Pizza Spins! I knew I didn't imagine them!!! You crazy people do too and you have kept this thread going for at least 8 years!!!!! So funny! I think General Mills should bring them back. What a lovely taste. If I close my eyes I can almost imagine the taste. Thanks for the memory!!

I just found something VERY close in flavor!!!
Triscuits Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil flavor. The seasoning was THE CLOSEST if not the exact same taste!

It's been years since I logged in here, been very busy, HAD to share the news!

I think my parents bought Pizza Spins, but not very often.I know they sometimes bought Bugles and chicken In A biskit snack crackers too.Funnyons, the ring shaped oion snacks are still around,and i think Cheese Whiz in a can is available too.

I remember as a boy scout Bugles, Whistles and Spins were the snacks of choice for us kids. We would stuff them in our packs and stay up all night munching on them and talking story. I just remember having that Pizza breath for days afterwards. Thanks for the retro time warp. bkk

I loved Pizza Spins as a teen ager. To me at the time, they tasted like an awesome local pizzeria, Bruno's. Wish they still made them. Also remember getting a puffed pizza flavored snack while on vacation in Idaho in 1969 that was almost as awesome, don't remember what they were called, but they didn't have them in Calif, so maybe a local company? All that stuff would kill me now, I'm diabetic....

Another reasonably pizza plavored item is Pepperidge Farm Goldfish -- Flavor Blasted Xplosive Pizza. But... not even close to the profile of Pizza Spins.

Pizzaspins.......Yiiiii!!!!!!!!! Me and my fam all got the stomach flu after indulging in these up in Copper Harbor,Mi. back in 1973-74! Would love to find these again! It has been a while.......lol

ALMOST A BULLSEYE! Much closer to Pizza Spins than Pringles' Pizzalicious is, ..

DORITOS Collisions has Pizza Lovers and Ranch in one bag. I bought them thinking they might be close, and aside from the tortilla chip texture, they make those taste bud alarms go off!

I DO remember whistles, and they were just like joanie41 said.

Pizzerias were nowhere near the same.

I loved Pizza Spins! My husband didn't remember them till I brought them up a few years back and that jogged his memory about them. The flavor was unique and addictive! I's sit at my babysitters after school and eat them watching the flintstones or Dark Shadows and play with a barrel of monkeys during the commercials. *sigh* Life was so much easier =)

Actually, it's funny you mention that. Though I don't know if they're actually called "spins" (I'll have to look it up), the snack machine in the break room at my work has a cracker with pizza flavoring. I personally find them a bit on the nasty side, partially because the crackers have a similar consistancy to cardboard and because the pizza flavoring is lacking. Those pizza flavored pringles are a lot better. However, I'll look at 'em when I go to work tomorrow, and if they are the Pizza Spins, I'll take a picture and post it up here.

I loved Pizza Spins, and also Daisies, that came out around the same time. Whistles were just ok. I never at Bugles then, but I do now out of nostalgia for Pizza Spins.

I know this was posted previously but pizza flavored Pringles taste EXACTLY like the ole Pizza Spins we love. They are what inspired me to search the internet looking for Pizza Spins. But sadly, I found they are no longer available

Hey Gang. It's nice to see that my sis and I aren't the only ones who remember the greatest (and most addictive) snack ever.

I, too, can actually remember the taste...

I remember turning my boyscout troop on to them, so they were around in the late 60's or early 70's (I was born in '61 and boyscouts are, what, 10???)

I was in the grocery story today, passing by the pizza rolls and started thinking about pizza spins. I remember reading about the pizza spins/Ninja Turtles Crunchabunga link. They have a new movie out, so ya never know...keep your eyes peeled.

I did a google search and found you, so here I am.

If you go to YouTube and enter 'The Monkees commercials' the first video titled 'Monkees TV show sponsor bumper commercials' features Pizzs Spins in one of their ads toward the end. They were advertised as 'the crunchy munchy snack that tastes like a pizza puff.' That brought back good memories. I used to love those when I was a kid.

Hey toddandrenee, I remember pizza puffs. I LOVED those things, although thinking back on it now, I don't think I'd even eat one today. They were so awful they were good.

I have found something that reminds me of Pizza Spins. www.SpecialCheese.com -look under Crunchy Baked Cheese - try the pizza flavor snacks. These are a great low-carb snack. You can't go wrong with the Variety Pack - White Cheddar, Herb 'n Garlic, Sour Cream 'n Onion, Jalapeno, Nacho, Pizza, Honey Dijon, Cool Ranch, Bacon, White Cheddar w/ Soy, & Barbeque - something for everyone. Most flavors do not contain MSG (monosodium glutamate); however I have recently noticed that my favorite flavor - Bacon - does unfortunately have msg.

Well I think I have found the right place to ask this question.
Along the lines of Pizza flavored snacks, My wife and I were recalling some semi childhood memories and rememberd a snack called Pizza Puffs. They were made by either Clover Club or Laura Scuders (sp). I grew up in Arizona and Clover Club distributing is/was based out of Tucson I believe. Anyhow.......I was just wondering if any of you had ever heard of them and if the still can be somehow purchased. I think with the amount of preservatives they were made with, a bag of them still might be edible.

If you try the Kids Chex Mix pizza flavor there are also pretzels in the mix. I do however take out the pretzels & crackers and eat only the chex part of it as its the most similar to me as the pizza spins.
