Of course if anyone is still interested in Stroud's recipe it's just flour, salt and pepper, pan fried in soybean oil over medium high heat for about 30 minutes a pan full. There's a couple of articles on it and even some video. Just search for Stroud's fried chicken recipe on Google.
Re:Stoud's Fried Chicken (rebeltruce)

There was a place in MD I think it was called Stouds, and they had some of the best fried chicken I ever tasted.

There is a long lost thread here on RF....I remember posting in the thread but can't seem to find it now.

The place was at a cross roads in MD, it also has some really good ice cream.....
Re:Stoud's Fried Chicken (wanderingjew)

I would just like to know where STOUD'S fried chicken is? and if it's any better than STrOUD's

KUJayhawkgirl

I don't have the recipe but Stroud's is pan friend chicken.

I don't have too many friends that are chickens. but i do like them fried
Re:Stoud's Fried Chicken (ann peeples)

Looks like a great place, Jim!!
Re:Stoud's Fried Chicken (MetroplexJim)

Twinwillow

Pan fried is the only way to fry chicken. They published a recipe for the chicken and the gravy at the end of the article. I'm sure with a little research you could find it. I remember it not being to terribly complicated, but the cooking method was the key.....

As I recall they said at the end of the article it made quite a mess and wasn't really worth doing at home unless you did it outside....LOL!
Re:Stoud's Fried Chicken (Twinwillow)

Pan fried is the only way to fry chicken.
