Edy's has out Limited Edition egg nog ice cream. Just finished it!
It is good, like the best store bought egg nog (Southern Comfort is one. A lot of the others have the spices unbalanced and taste like sweet potato pie).
12 years ago; Breyers had an egg nog ice cream, which tasted like rich frothy home made egg nog, (like my mother makes) but without the rum! HAT was good! Every year sonce; I looked in case they brought it back, but for some reason they never did. But the Edy's is good enough!

Spumoni. Both Edy's and Blue Bell have had it at different times, but must be one of those flavors they only offer for a limited time.

I don't do shops so there may be a good one out there but I want a good peanut butter/chocolate.

The best I've ever had was Ralph's store brand. Now I'm back in Florida so no mo Ralph's for me. :-(

not to beat a dead horse- but growing up in upstate NY there was a mom & pop ice cream store only open in the summer- Babcock's I think, they were a local dairy too- and their flavors rotated- my two favorites were blackberry and lemon- I just have never found a real lemon ice cream that packed the punch like theirs did- and no real blackberry ice cream around here. Come to think of it- in Texas there is no one that offers a maple black walnut either- that must be a Yankee flavor.

I believe it was Blue Bell that had this for a while as a featured flavor about 15 years ago: bits of pie crust, a caramel ribbon and toasted pecans in a butter pecan ice cream. It was quite nice.

Graeter's, The Cincinnati-based regional ice cream maker has Coconut Almond as one of it's regular flavors. The Coconut pieces in the cream have a very strong flavor. If you are a coconut lover (I am -in moderation) this is a winner....esp. withHot Fudge topping on it.

NE Ohio used to have an orange pineapple ice cream - not a sherbert. Have never seen it anywhere else. Very good.

I would LOVE to see Grape-Nuts ice cream available in NYC. I've had it at Toscaninni's in Harvard Square. One of my all time favorite flavors. That, and I'd like to see more malt flavored ice creams.

I'd love to see coconut cream pie as a more regular flavor. It pops up every now and again, but far and few between. Ben and Jerry's had it as a frozen yogurt back in '99, didn't see it again until last year when Turkey Hill had it as a limited release flavor.

Big Ugly Mich,H.E.B.stands for Herman E.Butts,which is a grocerystore chain here in Texas,and Mexico.It started in Kerville,Texas 100 years ago or so.www.wickpedia.com has about them,
and they have a website,www.heb.com.or just type in H.E.B. Grocery stores to learn more about them.They have next to Incarnate Word University HEB Central Market where they carry all kinds of fancy meats,wines,produce,etc.They also have HEB Plus stores in a few locations.It's their answer to Walmart Superstores.The founders of the chain are Southern Baptists,not Jewish.They do carry some kosher stuff,but not a lot.There used to be a Penn Foods store on Callaghan Road that had a lot of kosher stuff.My sister and I wandered around,while my dad looked over the meat counter. When we found my dad we asked what he had been doing while we were gone and he said he had been looking at the meat and talking yiddish to the butcher,that's how kosher the place was.Daddy grew up in a german-czech neighborhood in Milwaukee,but the family had jewish friends so that's where he learned yiddish.If you know German,you can learn it.
Will have to look for RootBeer sherbet from Blue Bunny.They sell Blue Bunny stuff at Walmart.

I've seen root beer sherbet from Well's Blue Bunny. I changed an earlier post to request watermelon sherbet. Who's HEB? I'm guessing they're Hebrew, and therefore, a kosher market.

I would like to see a toasted almond/toasted cocounut with peanut butter swirl.. or with a fudge swirl....

Our very own Fresno State University puts out some amazing ice creams such as lemon, root beer float, toasted almond and cake batter to name a few.
