I think Kobe beef would be wasted on it. They have the $40+ hamburger down in LoDo in Denver too. I might try it....once.

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (hawkeyejohn)

That seems to against all grain to have to pay that much for a hot dog, especially if it isn't a Vienna.

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (stanpnepa)

Two hot dogs, an onion ring, and a diet coke at Rutt's Hut cost us $7.44 the other day...and Kobe ain't gonna top that meal, even for $100!!!!

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (pennypincher)

An article in the NY Daily News Top Dog" referencing Kobe Beef Hot
Dog and other hot dog establishments in the NYC area.

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (cfitz)

Geez, I wonder what kind of special eyeballs and a**holes they use in the preparation of those hot dogs!

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (jmckee)

I dunno......a 19 buck hot dog is like having Beluga caviar with your Ritz cracker and aerosol cheese......

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (Rick F.)

In roaming around high-end food emporia on the 'net I've run into something called, approximately, Kobestyle Beef. It is beef from whatever breed is used for the original product, but raised in this country and allegedly fed and pampered identically to the original. Makes one wonder: "emperor's new clothes" or "the sizzle rather than the steak," or both?

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (Hode)

I hope they are'nt stingy with the mustard / i would want to try both burgar and dog

RE: $19.00 Kobe Beef Hot Dog (rumbelly)

I'd do the hamburg because with beef like that you want it rare. While it may seem ridiculous, I'd try both the hamburger and the hot dog. You'd probably just waste the money on beer, anyway. Recently they began serving a $41.00 Kobe Beef Hamburger. Today on the local news, they did a piece on this place. Now they serve a $19.00 Kobe Beef hot dog. A butcher told me that using really good meat like prime would make a mushy hot dog. He said that the spice mix is more important than the beef used. I can't see paying $19.00 for a hot dog, but I may have to for the sake of research.
