There is one thing that has always perplexed me, though: why do they serve that wretched fried corn? Ot's a short ear fried in oil and served...oily. It's a good ear of corn ruined, IMHO.

Then I ate at a place called The Black-eyed Pea in Orlando, FL. Fried corn came as part of a large platter we ordered. It was rolled in cornmeal. fried, and it was wonderful! I have since told the folks at Bonos that they are doing it wrong, but to no avail.

So, ask about the fried corn before you order it!

DM
