That message is a year and a half old. pkuczynski has not logged on in here in over a year. You could try online yellow pages superpages.com and yp.com and search for delicatessens, meats, gourmet shops, etc. in Brooksville. There are not many there.

If you google Hummel Hot Dogs, this thread is number two on the hit parade, just below Hummel's own web site. Must have been people surfing the web who found this discussion. That thread on Carrol's Restaurants is the same story. People who wonder "Whatever happened to Carrol's?" are led to that thread by google, et. al.

There is one place in Brooksville, FL that carries Hummels hot dogs, but that is a 2 hour drive from Orlando. Now that Publix has outrun Alberstson from the area you'd think they would carry some items from the north - like Hummels hot dogs and NEW ENGLAND HOT DOG BUNS!!! My sister brings both from New Haven when she visits, but its been over two years since I've had any.

If any other Floridians are willing to help me convince Publix to carry the "goodness" let me know so we can put up a strong argument for it.

ckeck with ups I have lobsters shipped from maine all the time and it only like 20 bucks also check saugys of rhode island they have what bI think are the best pork and veal snappy dogs on the planet and the'll be happy to ship them at a reasonable rate

I live in Maine...only on rare ocasions do I get the chance to goto Ct. for one those delicious treats...
They used to be distributed by Boars Head Meats...I'm going to check with them!!!
I'm thinking of distibuting them myself!!!

Hey ya'll
Well mom came to visit from Guilford ct where i was born and raised on good ole hummels hotdogs. Cant find a hotdog like it anywhere, people here like the bar b q brand. Nastiness. But low and behold what did mom bring 10lbs of hummels hotdogs mmmm can you say "heaven". The oklahomans actually think i may share . uumm nope but ill let them believe i will. If anyone finds a way or a how to get hummels shipped relatively cheaply please let me know.

I just got back from CT with a couple of packages (3lbs each) of Hummel hot dogs. They are sold by Shaw's food chain. We froze them and then drove back here to Monroe, LA and they came through with flying colors! If you are headed up there you can freeze them and then Fed Ex them home. Actually, since they are already cooked, you can ship them without freezing. They are 13.99 per pack in New Britain. Good Luck! PT

Called Hummels this morning was told it would be aprox $100 to ship 10 lbs. A little too rich for my blood, I'll just have to wait until September when we go back to Ct for a visit

I am trying to find someone to ship some Hummel Hot Dogs to Chandler, AZ. I found an old post from markolenski from 10-22-04 but not much info.
And Mark if you read this it's a small world I'm Gary Guisto from CT, it's been a long time.
