Diamond closed a few years ago. The owners sold out and opened a place near Little Hardware but that failed in a few years. The Diamond failed.

For sure not broasted. Fout HUGE fryers.

The fish sandwich is great also.

How about their fish sandwich. There is so many pieces of fish on the bun that you usually have to remove a couple in order to get the sandwich into your mouth!

Isn't it called "Broasted Chicken" at Price"s? That's what I remember it from the 70s and 80s when I lived out on Carmel Road. And is the "Diamond Grill" on Commonwealth still in operation?

Fried in pure peanut oil, no tables, no seats and NO cell phones. Now that Coffee Cup has changed hands again they have no rival in Charlotte (or imho anywhere else)
