They are, as the name tells you, what currants are made from. I'm not sure I've ever seen 'em sold fresh, but I've never looked.

Just bought a fresh box of "Munchkins" aka "Zante Currant Table Grapes", distributed by Selma Fruit Co, Selma CA.Tag line = "You can eat a whole bunch/Little Grapes, Big Fun!"

Delicious but wierd (like little corn cobs). These are red grapes still on the vine, maybe 1/16" each (maybe less) There must be thousands in a box. Would make an interesting treat for a party.
