Al is right -- you need some pics of people in there! Doesn't matter if they don't plan to stay with you for a while. You're just trying to communicate an atmosphere; no one will notice or care if the faces are different when they eat at your place. That is, as long as you don't identify them by name or highlight their personalities. Just a few smiling staff faces would do the trick. Or, as someone else suggested, happy diners. BUt you definitely need the human element in there!

pictures of the food is always good but it has to be done right, lighting etc.. it can take making a 100 sandwichs to get the "RIGHT" one. a pro is well worth the expense (some will work for barter) for the last photo... a packed dining area with cheerful patrons enjoying tables full of food (fill it with family/friends etc who will sit for a dzn or more pics)

The staff idea would be a good one if I could keep them in place for a while. Usually doesn't happen.

I think Al is right---especially if you can get a shot when the place packed! Pics of folks enjoying the food will get me in faster then pics of the food itself---after all--how many times have you wondered why that pic didnt look like the plate they brought you!!! Pics of folks EATING the food--i trust!

You have the location shot, two food shots...I would use a photo of a bunch of happy folks enjoying a meal at your place!! You see that a lot on restaurant websites and in the reviews here on roadfood

My Chamber of Commerce is providing me with a free page on their site. They are allowing me to use four photographs on it. My first pick is a picture of our building. The second and third would be a picture of my brisket and ribs. It's a toss up as to the fourth, though. I think a smoker full of briskets would look good, but my wife says the black on the briskets and smoker will scare people away. She thinks that I should use a picture of another plate of another food item.

Your thoughts appreciated.
