Nobody shared their recipes that I saw. The stall that I liked the best didn't even place, let alone win. Of course, I was working the margarita stall all day long, so I didn't get to try all the chili. But it was fun.

The one I liked had chunks of beef that tasted like it had been smoked to me, and I love smoked stuff, but it was not too spicy.

How did the competition go? Can you describe the winning and high placing entries? (Please be as subjective as possible - if the top pot was not to your liking, say so and why!) If anyone shared a recipe, please post if you can.

No, I'm not going to be cooking, and trust me, that's a good thing! If you see Orca Bob, the organizer, ask him if he knows where Nancy from Michigan is at and introduce yourself! :-)

There really isn't a link, but the contact number for the organizer (BOB) is 592-0091 (Sunset Mail and Copy), there's a little info here: http://forums.delphiforums.com/40PlusSingles/messages, but not a lot even though they have been doing this for a few years and get quite a crowd from what I understand.

Anyone that is in the LA area and who loves chili might want to check this out! It will be my first time, and I'm coming from Michigan for it. They start cooking at around 10 am and there will be music starting sometime after that. I hear it's a really good time.

I can't figure out how to add an image here, but it's at the 12th st fire station.
