However, I actually went to the company's own website, and found out that the nearest store selling the product is in Wisconsin. (I live on Chicago's North Shore, where it's generally possible to find any food one wants - except for a really good corned beef sandwich, but that's another story)

RE: Kettlecorn (Pwingsx)

I like the Newman's line, love the balsamic vinegar salad dressing, but I think that may be because of the little Elizabethan ruff he's wearing on the bottle. I'm a total sucker for the packaging of Newman's Own. They slay me.

RE: Kettlecorn (danimal15)

I'm no authority on kettle corn, but I consider myself one on plain old popcorn. I dislike microwave popcorn. Instead, I pop Newman's own kernels on the stove in canola oil for best results. The taste is so much better than Orville Redenbacher (which has no flavor at all, as far as I can tell.)

Does anyone else like Newman's Own? Unfortunately, it's difficult to find (the jarred kind, I mean). I ordered six jars recently from a website because it doesn't seem to be available in any store in the Chicago area (really!)

RE: Kettlecorn (Bushie)

I tried making KC at home once; disaster.

I don't care for caramel corn, but I DEARLY LOVE Kettle Corn, fresh and still warm from the cauldron!

I've tried the store brands, and they just don't cut it for me. It's got huge kernels with JUST the right amount of sugar and salt.

-J

quote:

I certainly love popcorn and I would consume it much more frequently if it was not for the hulls. Kettle corn can be made into caramel but not all caramel is kettle! I like just plain old kettle corn, the slightly sweet taste with the salt. Okay ladies how many of you have looked for something sweet & salty with a chocolat chaser??

RE: Kettlecorn (frank n. burger)

not to be missed is Johnsons on the ocean city nj boardwalk(also available in the king of prussia mall outside of philly). i am thinking that kettlecorn is always caramel flavor. is that not correct?

RE: Kettlecorn (Sundancer7)

In Gatlinburg, TN and on the main street of town, there is a shop that pops kettle corn with its windows open. The smell attacks your olafactory senses as you walk down the street. In this mountainous town and the cool evenings, the smell makes you want to buy all they have.

I am not sure what it is, but kettlecorn gives the best flavor to popcorn that I have ever experienced.

I really enjoy the many different flavors they have. Carmel, butter, hot pepper and on and on.

I always bring dental floss with me, but it is worth it.

Paul E.
