They have been around for a few years, but have been in short supply. They now have enough that my local Big Y hopes to stock them year around, according to the clerk that I talked to. They are a fairly small red skinned tuber with yellow flesh and thin tender skin. They are not cheap, at least compared to the 10 lb bag of &amp;quot;round whites&amp;quot;, but at $2.99 for a 2 1/2 lb bag, they are cheaper than some of the specialty potatos from companies like Frieda's.  &lt;br&gt;  &lt;br&gt; They are great mashed (skin on) with a little garlic.
