They are the biggest selling appetizers on the menu. I am glad you enjoyed them. Next time try the Mahi Mahi sandwich. It is the best selling item. I should know, I own the Lazy Gecko. Contact us at 859-491-GECKO
quote:

I wanted to find a place to post these pictures. They hint at the fact that they are the same recipe as a bygone restaurant. Of course they are talking about F&N, since the Gecko is located practically across the street!!

I took these pictures over the summer, before I knew how to post pictures. It was great sitting on the river during the summer, and enjoying a martini and fried eggplant!!

RE: Eggplant fries (Michael Hoffman)

Boy, those eggplant fries look delicious.

RE: Eggplant fries (sudie)

Thanks, soozycue. I've never been to the Lazy Gecko, but I do remember reading that they were serving the same fried eggplant that used to be a specialty of the late departed F&N Steakhouse in N. Ky. I'll try to get there soon. I really miss F&N, particularly in cold weather. They had a wonderful fireplace in their bar, and a couple of martinis and fried eggplant in front of the fire cured the worst case of winter blues.

RE: Eggplant fries (xannie_01)

wow. those pics have my mouth watering.

RE: Eggplant fries (soozycue520)

I wanted to find a place to post these pictures. My wife compared them to eggplant parm, without the sauce or cheese.
