(Flyover Culture)

I preferred Burger Chef to McDonald's when I was a kid. Do believe they had a location in Garden City off of Ford Rd./Middlebelt area if I remember correctly.
RE: Anyone Remembers Burger Chef in Michigan? (Wabbit)

I recall one in Ypsilanti MI on Washtenaw ave. in the late 70's. It became a Burger Works, rather like a Fuddrucker's.. but they didnt last long. Changed names more than I can remember. The Burger Chef in Ypsilanti on Michigan ave became a Hardee's. and a lousy one at that! As a small child I thought Hardee's was the devil.
RE: Anyone Remembers Burger Chef in Michigan? (felix4067)

We used to eat there all the time. The chain officially died for good in 1997. I think some of them became Carl's Jr., but most of them are now Hardees (there are no Carl's Jr. in Michigan, and only three Hardee's locations).

Anyone Remembers Burger Chef in Michigan?
