Salsarita's just opened two places in Knoxville and they are a chain. the place described on this thread does not sound like a huge chain.

Paul E. Several have opened in the Louisville area recently. I think the quality is only fair, and the value is NIL. $7 for a rice&bean-filled beef Burrito is a ripoff to me. We will not go back after trying one not long ago. They seem to pride themselves on the cheerleader service style, lots of yelling of greetings and 'banter with customers' while waiting in line for your order......instead of the food quality and value. Lots of Volvos and Minivans parked there...and not a Lopez or a 'low-rider' anywhere in sight. If anyone spoke Spanish it was as the result of H S Spanish-midwestern version!!

RE: Salsitas Mexican, in Phoeniz AZ and surrounding (Michael Hoffman)

quote:

Michael Hoffman-
If you are familiar with Moe's Southwest Grill, Salsarita's seems to have a similar concept. Nothing special, but not bad for a quick lunch.

Thanks for the information. I'm afraid I've never heard of Moe's Southwest Grill, though. But I'm certainly willing to give this new place a try. There's a Chipotle Grill right around the corner from this new Salsarita's that I have been to.

RE: Salsitas Mexican, in Phoeniz AZ and surrounding (buffetbuster)

Michael Hoffman-
If you are familiar with Moe's Southwest Grill, Salsarita's seems to have a similar concept. We have a few places like
that in Harrisonburg, Va.. I went to one locally and had
the best food and an enjoyable talk with the waiter.
Sometimes we need an adventure to discover grow and
also realize how small the world is. I loved the food
and found my waiter and I were pretty much the same, except
he had a harder time because of prejudice.
By the way, he was a legal immigrant.
But the food...it was great.
It was strange going into this restaurant, a bit scary.
I guess I feared being the immigrant.
Take Care,
Fieldthistle

RE: Salsitas Mexican, in Phoeniz AZ and surrounding (Michael Hoffman)

quote:

there are no white folks there, only mexicans.

No white folks? This includes any meat they will use, they will start to cook it when you order, so everything is sooooo juicy and fresh! Yup, it is called Salsitas, they won't have a website, but I took a pic of a girl with all their addresses on it!
