Pull the meat up thru the slit you made and rest the meat on top of the shell. Place on a rack on a cookie type sheet. Brush the meat with melted butter and sprinkle with Paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until the meat is white all the way through, Basting with butter occasionally. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on them just befroe their finished. Serve it up with some drawn butter.
I prefe mine baked as opposed to broiled. IMO, Broiling makes them dry out and be tough. They're more moist and tender if baked.

RE: baking lobster (Pat T Hat)

If you broil make sure you get them as flat as you can without smashing.
Foil line your broiler pan and lay side by side.
Brush with butter. Don't be greedy, they sure do love it!
Broil 4" from heat for about 12-15 min.
Brush with butter often until they get lighty browned and tasty looking.
Salt, pepper, lemon juice, serve with more butter and lemon.

RE: baking lobster (ann peeples)

Thanks,Pat T Hat!!And jeepguy-do you have a recipe for broiled as well?Would like that,too...

RE: baking lobster (Pat T Hat)

Bake in a 350 oven side by side, cut side up in a shallow roasting pan.
Cover the exposed meat generously with pats of butter (1/3-1/2 stick ea.)
Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon over each tail.
Bake uncovered for 25-30 min.
Baste often with pan juices.
Salt & pepper before serving with fresh lemon and butter.
Works best with tails that come off lobsters 2 1/2 lb or so and under.

RE: baking lobster (jeepguy)

You mean broiled?

baking lobster (ann peeples)

I am hoping for an easy recipe for baked lobster tails for New Years eve...any help is appreciated!
