Oyster Roasts

This is another one of those instances where it makes much more sense to me to just go & pick up a half a sack of fresh oysters and do it myself vs. paying by the dozen at retail prices.

Regardless, I want to try them. I love their wings and eye candy. I can't wait to try their steamed oysters.

Some may not like Hooters but my personal experience has been very good.

Hate to break this to you but they are steamed not roasted. Not bad but not the same thing.

Would you believe that the oyster roast at the Hooters chain restaurant is surprisingly good? I went to the Syracuse location and ordered them on a lark. The oysters were rich and buttery..quite a shock coming from a place better known for-ahem-their wings. Has anybody had a similar experience? What other place is known for their oyster roasts?
