You buy the powder in a German deli; it's made by Oetker. I mix the contents of the envelope w/ 1/2 cup of a really tart, 100% cherry juice, then bring 1 1/2 cups of the same juice to the boil. Add the powder mixed w/ juice, return to the boil, then cook a couple of minutes. I pour this over a package of Trader Joe's frozen fancy mixed berries, or other fresh or frozen berries, and then chill in a bowl. It's tart and very refreshing, w/ an un-jell-oish consistency. I like this dessert w/ a dollop of really good whipped cream, such as the cannister French cream w/ Madagascar vanilla now available locally.
