like Al, I am cleaning up my car and getting packed for the trip on Friday morning.

My brother is coming down from Minneapolis. He bought one of my cars. I had a Mercury Marquis that I bought a year and a half ago. I only had 500 miles on it. I still have a truck and I think I have it sold also. It is a 2000 Silverado. I only have 9000K miles on it. I never drove it and as soon as he picks it up, I am on my way to Nashville where I will me lotsa new friends.

I do not have near the packing issue that The mayor has. I am putting the dog in the daughters hands. All I have to do is pack and go. I will have a clean car though.

I teach my final class of the semester tonight...Then spend tomorrow getting the truck ready. It isn't a long trip down to Nashville (less than 200 miles) but when we take the dogs along we have to pack water and food for them too.

Friday and Sunday look sunny and bright with temps in the upper 70's to lo 80's. Saturday may see a few showers, but the temps will remain in the 70's so it won't be too bad.

Glad you followed my "hot tip".
I love the $40.00 internet price, plus the comfy sounding mattresses.

p.s. Another possible hot tip......there is a bbq place just north of Red Roof Inn , right there on Donelson Pike. It's called Bar-B-Cutie... there are about 3 or 4 other Nashville locations. They are supposed to have the added bonus of a drive thru, plus known for their "white sauce".

Just changed my reservation to the Red Roof Airport Donnalson Pike. (the Sheraton has been full for at least a month) Thanks for the tip Ellen4641! Mom has decided to come after all. I can hardly wait! Anyone have the street address where we're meeting in the afternoon so I can get directions???? Or am I just blind and overlooked it?

You have the info that was put out..originally the afternoon was due out at 1pm, but according to the update posted by Stephen Rushmore It will be getting started a bit later...1:45pm meet and 2pm departure. We will be there a bit before meeting time, come in and say "Hi". We will talk about Saturday evening and Sunday Brunch when we see how many are interested after the bus stops !!

I bought my afternoon tickets from someone else a couple of months back. I'm not getting email updates from Stephen that some of you have mentioned concerning when to arrive, etc. So I would appreciate somebody keeping me posted if there is a change. Originally, it looked like a 1:00 PM kickoff if I remember correctly. But I noted in another thread it was stated by Sundancer to arrive at 1:45 & leave at 2. Can anyone verify the lastest info?
